The Philmont Advisor's Guide is an unoffical publication written by Wally Feurtado and myself with lots of help from other Philmont advisors and rangers. When we came back from Philmont after our first trek, we both tried to capture the lessons learned so
other first time advisors would be more prepared. We never wanted to replace the training provided by your Philmont ranger, but we felt that our council crews could be better prepared if they had more info than what is provided to you by Philmont. Sinc
