A tidbit on the re-routing of treks this summer: My daughter, who was
supposed to be on staff at Head of Dean, has been assigned to Zastrow for
now. They've moved the mountain biking program there from Whitman Vega in
the Valle Vidal. Zastrow is normally used for Wood Badge and other special
programs, not for treks. I wonder if they'll open any other inactive camps
to accommodate the extra traffic in the south this year.
Some other north country staff have been reassigned to camps in the central
and south areas. Others have been temporarily assigned to duties at CHQ or
PTC.
