looking for general advice...
Will have the opportunity for a family vacation (via car camping) for a
week after helping to transport my son's crew from Denver down to Philmont
in mid-August...seeking ideas and recommendations for places to camp,
visit, and see in New Mexico / Colorado during this week...National and/or
State Parks, Forests, Monuments, Historical sites, etc are the types of
places we are interested in.
REI is selling National Parks passes for $39.99 (REI member price)...anyone
familiar with these passes, and how 'many' parks one has to visit to 'break
even' ? Been a long while since I was in a National Park !
