We had our Ranger ship a package ahead to a food drop before we left
basecamp. It had Hostess cupcakes and birthday candles for one of the
Scouts in the crew. The cool part was making him carry it (still wrapped)
from the food drop.. <grin>.
Might not work so hot this year with all the increased anxiety...

I think that would ruin it....the main joy of pulling chocolate bars out of
your pack (or candy, or a good book or even in the case of a Northern Tier
interpreter I know - a two litre bottle of mountain dew) is the surprised
look on the faces of your crew and the joy that brings you.
At least it is for me.....I usually don't even eat any of the surprise that
I've brought.
Incidentally, it works best on a day that's doesn't have the best weather -
talk about a pick me up.
Cheers
Bing
