A few weeks there was a thread on stools and other sit upons. I just
received an email from Campmor which has a 1 lb three legged Roll-up Pack
Stool Item Number: 41192 Price: $12.99

Also this thread was in today's mail:

We contacted the airline, Continental, and they said we could pack our
stoves and fuel bottles as long as they are empty, clean and dry. Isn't that
a switch?!

I can not agree more with Phil Browns response of:
"Be careful, the agents at gate may differ. Do you really want to chance
dealing with that to save a few dollars shipping? At the very least, make
sure you have the name of the person that you talked to."

I will send mine UPS ground. I send them to myself using the Philmont
address on the pullout card in the Guidebook to Adventure. Incidentally
the Philmont Post Office is BSA run and not a United States Post Office,
they can send and receive United Parcel Service packages. Send them two
weeks ahead and they will be waiting for you when you get there.

Make sure they have been aired out well, do the same on your last night at
Philmont (give the extra fuel to a trek just starting out). I keep my box
and packing materials in the crew locker for the return mailing. I also
pack new tape and labels too.
