I recall that on my 1988 trek which was the 50th anniversary season at Philmont
that the OA on a national level had put together special contingents that year.
Their arrowhead had the red arrow and the number 50 on it like all the other
anniversary arrowhead patches for that season. I believe this was an alternate
year program that was done between NOAC years and those arrowhead patches just
had the red arrow. I don't know if this program was considered an OA Trail Crew
program at that time or something different.
