We always make up a crew t-shirt. Designing it becomes part of the crew
building process and it can lead to some pretty hilarious results. We always
have a couple of extra shirts made up. One goes to the Ranger. We have also
given a shirt to other Philmont staff members who have gone out of their way
to make our trek a great experience. On one of our treks, we were not able
to meet our Ranger when we got back in base camp since he was on his day off.
You can imagine our surprise at the restaurant in Denver when he came in
wearing his crew t-shirt and had a final meal with us.
