6 am to Midnight. Front loading washers 50 cents per load, dryers
operate for ten minutes per quarter. You can bring your own soap (I
recommend Tide HE), or purchase a single load box of regular Tide
at the trading post.

They do request that you keep 'em short to conserve water, but
there's nobody standing there with a stop watch!

Most of the shower restrictions are in the backcountry, where
camps rely on solar panels or creeks to supply water. Most creeks
were running dry or almost dry when we were there a week ago.
Hopefully enough rain is falling with some regularity to change that.
We encountered showers available at Abreu, PJ, Cimarroncito, and
Clark's Fork, but not at Cypher's Mine.

Everything in base camp is pretty much operating normally. The
only real "new" issue is that we were told to store all our food in the
crew locker overnight before we departed to go out on the trail.

Our three north-bound crews were given a couple of options (I don't
really recall it being a big issue; they were minor choices... the fire-
modified treks were pretty much set). We were among the first
crews going out on the trail, so I don't know if that is the standard,
or if they were still getting a handle on how to distribute the crew
loads.

Check the water conditions board carefully before you leave base
camp. Even the staffed camps. Not all staffed camps had good
water supplies... most notably Crooked Creek and Cypher's Mine.
Also, ask crews you meet on the trail about water conditions
ahead. That gave us a "heads up" on two unanticipated dry or
nearly dry camps (Lookout Meadow and Cypher's Mine).
