any restrictions on the laundry at base camp? We will be traveling before

any restriction on the shower houses? Other than that I assume we can
assume that the rest of the process is pretty much status quo.? What about
changing the treks for those of us from the north country, does the crew
leader have any "extra" decisions to make or do they pretty much say, "here
'tis"?

Fred:
Laundry is open 7:30AM to Midnight for anyone's use, no restrictions that I
saw. Shower houses at base camp are open regular hours, showers on trail
can be spotty, depending upon water supplies at the current camp. Our crew
had original itinerary 30 and was changed to 14FM, with no opportunity for
discussion in Logistics. There is a continued, elevated hazard for
wildfires all over the camp, for example, in the late evening/early morning
of June 24 & 25, several crews had to be evacuated from camps around the
small Clark's Fork fire, started by lightning strike. Staff is very serious
about crews staying on planned itineraries because of the potential need
for evacuation due to the fire hazard. Rumor is one crew that chose to
alter their itinerary on the evening of the Clarks Fork fire were escorted
back to base camp early when finally found by staff who were attempting to
evacuate threatened camps.
