As with most rules, there are exceptions. I've had highschool linemen on
crews who were overweight for their height. But they were in excellent
physcial shape, and most of that overweight was muscle. Some under weight
kids may be Xcountry runners. Most of the time when campers are outside
the weight range and are allowed on the trail, its because they are in
excellent physical condition and are some kind of an athelete.

It is the undernourished no muscle underweight and couch potatoe
overweight people that the weight restrictions are in place to rule out.
And don't forget that it is for the well being of the participant that
these rules have been set.

If there is a REASONABLE reason for being out of the weight range, I'm
sure Philmont will listen.
