I contacted the Chamber of Commerce in Cimarron regarding the water
situation at Philmont.
Here's the response:
>From discussions with our water master, we are better off than last year.
In fact, we have had several afternoon showers this week. Things are
looking greener than they have in awhile. Right now there is no state fire
ban, although I think Philmont still bans campfires for crews. There are
also no water restrictions. Also, snow pack this year was significantly
better than the last.
Cordially,

Sounds promising.
We arrive at Philmont on June 24 and will be taking Trek 4.
See you on the trail.
