I don't see long pants, other than your rain pants. Some activities require
long pants. Seems like you also intend to wear the same clothes for the whole
trek. Our boys have done that before. Gets pretty rank! Also, if you have
a lot of rain, you may wish you had another change of clothes. Most of our
boys go "commando" and that would save you 8.2 oz. You may also wish to
consider another pair of socks.

Thanks for posting your list. You have put a lot of thought into it! Great
job.

All that said...just like you can go too heavy, you can go too light. It may
be dry and hot. It may be wet and cold. First trek, we had rain EVERY day,
almost all day. Cool to cold also. Never could get our clothes dry (and we
tried!!!) Luckily, being our first trek, we had way overpacked and had 3 sets
of clothes (1 we were wearing, and 2 packed away). The best list is still the
one in the Philmont book.
