In 2001 I went horseback riding at Ponil wearing rain pants (Campmor
Backpacker II). Nothing was said about the type of pants. I was not the
only one wearing rain pants. The only long pants I carry backpacking
are my rain pants unless it is in very cold conditions all day, not just
at night.
