Craig,

I received a card from Philmont this year asking me to
specify the latest date that I would wait to receive a
trek for 2004. Your 'contact' person should have
received a card as well and should have returned it to
philmont with a 'drop dead' date, check with him/her
to see what they said.

Our number is so high that I've already begun
exploring alternatives. Camp Rand in New Mexico offers
1 week and 2 week treks in the Pecos Wilderness (South
end of the Carson National Forest) at a reasonable
price!
