Any suggestions as to what mil thickness is appropriate for the waterproof
ground cloths that go under the tents. We want it to be thick enough but
don't want to go too thick and add useless weight.

If you don't have access to Tyvek (which I personally have not actually
used), the lightweight throwaway table cloths available at any "party store"
work fine. That is what our crews use, and Patriots' Path Council has been
recommending for its crews for years.
