I've used the stuff in the Amazon Jungles for weeks on end. Other than
wearing out after 3 weeks I've never had a problem. But I also don't think
I have used it on my underwear.
Also, why put it on shorts? Put it on long sleeve/long pants that you will
use to keep mosquitoes away.
