Are you referring to the Ozark Highlands Trail?
If so, see:
http://www.hikearkansas.com/ohta.html

http://www.yournet.com/highland.htm
This trail is literally in my back yard and many, many local
regional crews use it to get ready for NM. While not the
Pacific Crest or the App. Trail, it is a great trail and I
HIGHLY recommend it.
Bears are known to be on/close to the trail and Bear Bags
are highly recommended.
A great shuttle service is at Turner Bend on the Mulberry
River. See http://www.turnerbend.com
Tell Brad (the owner) that I said hello.

We are looking to use the Ozark trail for our last prep

recommondations would be appreciated.
