Inside the tent, you are not venting it well enough. Outside, always on the
floor. After breakfast and your sleeping bag has dried out on top of your
tent you roll the tent upside down and dry the floor while you pack.

Subject: [Philmont]: RE: NOC

Someone was asking about NOC. It stands for Nantahala Outdoor Center.

http://noc.com

They are hands down the best raft guiding service in the GA, NC, TN, WV
area. They cost more but are worth it. My old troop once went with one of
the budget outfiters USA Raft, and I had a close encouter with drowning
due to their incompitence. It convinced me that it is worth paying extra
if the guides are better. NOC's main place is on the Nantahala River in
Andrews, NC. It is a stop on the AT. They also do kayak instruction,
mountain biking, and some backpacking. Interesting note, they are an
employed run and owned company.

Jim, how do you get by without the ground cloth? You have me curious. The
times I've seen tents set up without it, there is atleast some dampness on
the floor.
