The continuing discussion of external frame vs. internal frame, leather boot vs. synthetic boot, purifier vs. Polar Pure, ground cloth inside the tent vs. ground cloth under the tent vs. no ground cloth at all is like Dianne Marshall says "debating the validity of human differences". Folks do what they sorta like doing.
This summer, two members of Venturing Crew 1519 are rangers at Philmont. Be on the lookout for Christian and Stephen Braunlich. They are wonderful young men with an incredibly extensive backcountry experience. Dianne, if you are out there somewhere, I'm now at Shemya for the month of June. Would love to drop by and see you guys in Fairbanks.
