[Philmont]: Cell phone usage

If you want it take it. If you take it use it only for emergencies. If you
take it remember you've got to carry it.

That said, I took mine last year and on Father's Day had the boys call home
from the top of Mt. Phillips while the fire helicopters flew below us. Myself
and the other advisor were able to share this achievement with our sons, I
hoped it would help the fathers not on the trip share in it a little with their
sons.

At Thorns and Roses that night, the calls home were as much of the Roses as
making it to Mt. Philips on Day 8....ready for our trip down.

To those who say cell phone usage ruins the last vestige of the wilderness,
Get a Life. Remember Scouting and Philmont is for the boys, not those of us old
"our life would be different if I could be 14 again" leaders.

This should light up the board.....
