I don't know if it is gold or not, but according to what I believe (and
I'm not pushing my beliefs on anyone) collecting things from the
wilderness is a no no. Leave it there for the next passer by to enjoy. I
remember when the trail up Baldy had a pretty blue copper deposit. But now
it has been picked clean by souvineer hounds. Feel free to take it out of
the stream to get a closer look, but I believe it should be put back for
others to enjoy.
Take only pictures, leave only footprints, kill only time
