I received my copy a week ago, and my first pass through it was also
disappointing. First impression is that there's little there I can't do with
a paper map and a map wheel, unless I can get the hang of plotting a trail
and showing the profile for it, then printing it all. So, it's time for my
standard step 2 - read through the help files. Contact me offline and
perhaps we can work through the odd spots together.

Subject: [Philmont]: Interactive Ranger
So I was intrigued by ToTT's mailing regarding Interactive Ranger and I
ordered a copy. Initially I was shipped last year's version, but eventually
got the 2004 version. the short of it .. I'm really disappointed, the
software is extremely difficult to use.
Anybody have any helpful hints?
Anybody want to learn what I've discovered?
Anybody except for me trying to use this thing?
To be clear, none of my difficulty involved Tooth or Time Traders who were,
and continue to be, very helpful throughout ... all of my issues are either
with the software intself, or the supplier, MapTrails.
