Subject: [Philmont]: September weather

Jerry D Bailey (P.S. what is the weather like @ PTC in Mid September? -
thanks again!)

I have been on two Autumn Adventures in September and both times had what I
consider to be great weather. In 2002, we were 922-2 and had upper 60's and
low 70's most of the week. We had about an hour of rain at Cito and it spit
some snow at us on Mt. Phillips. In 2003 we were 907-1 and had highs in the
60's but we were never lower in elevation than Miranda. You can expect
summer like weather in base camp at that time. We had great weather on both
ends of both trips while at base.
