Gorp - Any of about a dozen different concoctions of dried fruits, nuts,
and sometimes candies (M&M's, etc.) Most large grocery stores carry
these, both as individual packages (pretty pricey!) or in the "bulk
bins", where you scoop it out yourself into plastic bags at roughly
$5.00/pound. Usually called things like "Energy Mix" and similar. Go
check it out.
Trail Meals - First and last trail meals are established at
Logistics/Planning, and are wholly dependent on your departure bus and
final camp. If you have a morning bus, then you will be provided with a
trail lunch for your first trail day. If you have an afternoon bus,
you'll get a Basecamp lunch in the cafeteria. On your last day, if you
are at Tooth Ridge or (I think) Shaefers Pass, your last trail meal will
be breakfast, and you'll get tickets for a Basecamp lunch - since you
should easily be back at Basecamp by then. If you are similarly
scheduled for an early pickup bus at, for example, Ponil Turnaround (or
any other such pickup point), again your last trail meal will be
breakfast, because you'll be transported back to Basecamp well before
lunch. If you have a later pickup scheduled, they'll give you a trail
lunch.
Hope this clarifies things for you.
