Not that it is any surprise, but I did confirm with Philmont that the Double
H Crews will be using the Philmont Food and distribution system. We just get
the appropriate 7 day meals not 10. The mid-point food pickup will be on day
four at the Martin Ranch, where we will also get a chuckwagon style dinner
meal.
Campfires will not be allowed except in program area's and thats subject to
change depending upon the weather and fire status. Much of New Mexico's
National Forest and some BLM lands are already under a Class 1 fire watch,
including Carson National Forest. This prohibits open flames, except in
established campgrounds and appropriate containment, fireworks, smoking
except in vehicles, buildings or not moving with a 3 foot clear zone. Stoves
are still appropriate at this time.
