A bit off topic, but couldn't resist! Believe it or not, we've been using Vaseline several times a day for our dogs nose! It got so dry, and cracked she had bloody spots, so the vet suggested Vaseline, which I rub on over liquid vitamin E for healing.

Subject: [Philmont]: First Aid Kits
Hi:
Bag Balm on your feet sometimes works even better than Vaseline (especially if you have cuts or open blisters). But, it's definitely a smellable. Available at Walgreens.
Not sure what happens if you mix Bag Balm and Crack Cream (also available at Walgreens). ;-)
Thanks much

I also just found out from a very experienced hiker that Vaseline your feet every morning during the trek will also prevent blisters.
