RE: [Philmont]: Shipping Coleman stoves.

-- The La. Hiking Club has checked on this via the TSA site. I have a guy
in our troop that works for the TSA -- the rule is yes, you can take them...
BUT they cannot have ANY gas odor. They say wash them out with soap and
water. Caution: you are still dealing with the individual and not the
agency - so you could still have problems. The Hiking Club recommends
[and what we do] is ship them UPS or FedEx ground. That way, they are
waiting for us on arrival. No hassle.

Subject: [Philmont]: Shipping Coleman stoves.

Sorry for the re-post. I know we have worked this issue out on this list.
Do we have to mail/ship Coleman Expedition Xpert Stoves separately, or may
the stoves be in checked airline baggage? They do not travel with any fuel
or fuel containers, we buy those at ToT. Three weeks!

Thanks Tony
