I think both sides may be correct. The stoves can be taken if there are no
vapors present. I think that is going to be the problem. I vaguely remember
that there is a commercial way to remove the vapors, however it is cost
prohibative. As a practical matter, I think Jim gives good advice. Why risk an
"incident" with the TSA or airlines personnel? At every airport human beings
will be interpreting the regulations and I feel safe in saying that each one
will have his or her own slant on it. To me it is just not worth it when there
are other ways to rope this goat.
