Phil tents are just fine. Our boys have used them many times with no
complaint.

Subject: [Philmont]: Tents
I'm looking for recommendations on tents for Philmont. The Ranch
supplies tents that may be a bit heavy, but is a 2-3 pounds that can be
shared between tentmates enough to justify spending big bucks on a 2.5
lb tent. I am leaning toward the larger footprint (and associated elbow
room) of the free Philmont tent. Based on the stove shipping dialogue
;) I don't expect consensus, but all input is appreciated.
