RE: [Philmont]: Torn ligaments

I have to agree with the suggestion to involve the Philmont medical staff. I
just did so in regards to one of my scouts who has a congenital heart defect
and they were very, very helpful. The approved his participation after
making sure that 1 - he wouldn't harm himself and 2 - he had a realistic
hope of completing the trek. Last year, one of our council units had a scout
who tore some ligaments on a shakedown hike. Philmont was very good about
the refund.
