I read that you can bring you own food to Philmont and they will arrange to have it transported to the appropriate pick-up location during your trek. I have a couple of boys who have some food restrictions (religious and allergies). Has anybody ever done this and if so, would you recommend doing it again? (Was it worth the hassle?).
My issue - looking at the 2003 menu (I don't have the 2004 menu, but I assume they are similar) -- these boys would not starve -- but there may be meals where there are limited choices OR do I bring "special" meals to cover these events.
Thanks, Paul
