MessageJust got back last night from our Troop's first Philmont trip in almost 2 decades. Thanks to all the advice we received both directly and indirectly from the many users of this list, we were well prepared. We did Trek 22. Managed to get in 83 miles and not miss any program (except for the climbing cancelled due to lightning at Cito). Philmont was everything we expected and then some.
We saw several examples of folks showing up who did not have a clue. Glad we were not one of them!! Again thanks for all the advice and words of wisdom we received from the list.
