Haven't had occasion to try it myself, but apparently one of the direct skin
applications for duct tape is wart removal...physician sanctioned.

Because the article I read came with the caution that contact with
surrounding skin must be avoided, Charlie's concerns about using it as a direct
application seem well founded. FWIW
