You might want to call ahead and ask if they keep it in stock, the store in
Nashville, TN didn't even know what it was & if it was available. On the
ounces, when you are hanging over your trekking poles making a 3000 ft
change in elevation that day, how much would you value the money spent or
not spent on something at the $130. or the extra weight you have on your
back? Its the old saying price or cost you are concerned about? The
Slinglights are made of aircraft aluminum and crafted extremely well. At 22
oz, and a great seat it can't be beat. The most common thing heard on day 3
is "what can I get rid of"! We each have reasons to carry something special
that no one else would. We have to do what is best for "ME". If everyone
was the same we would all drive the same GMC truck. I have checked my pack
weight for our trip this summer, I'am at 46 lbs with personal & crew gear,
food and water. I have been there before at a heavier weights. My plans
are to go back with LESS than the trip before each time.

REI is carrying a GCI clone of this for only $37:
http://www.rei.com/product/47875631.htm . It's 34 ounces (with stuff
sack), but it is way cheaper. I haven't tried it yet -- just found it
on the Website during this discussion. Next time I'm in the store
I'll try one out.
