My pack weight with only personal gear was 12 lb. With water and crew gear was @ 25 lb.
Hoping to keep the weight around there this time around as well....

It would be a shame to waste a perfectly good bear due to the inability of a
scout or crew to follow the PSR bear guidelines.
So with that being said I was wondering what is a good weight to start with
for your pack. This would include personal gear, sleeping bag, clothes, pad,
2 liters of water etc. Someone posted an initial weight of 38 lbs before
food/crew gear and I thought that was excessive. I am looking at @ 20 lbs.
Add-ons like sling chair, trekking poles etc excluded.
Thanks
