Hi:
Bruised toes: Maybe you are inadvertently stabbing them with your hiking poles when you walk. Try putting the rubber tips on the hiking poles and see if that helps.
Blisters on toes: Use the marathoners trick and apply a light coating of Vaseline on your toes. Works great, especially on those long down hill stretches.
