RE: [Philmont] - Philmont Digest - V01 #1401 and #1402

Please, PLEASE, P-L-E-A-S-E do not just hit "REPLY" and include the entire
message. "Snip" away everything that is not relevant to your comment.

Many of us subscribe in "Digest" mode where the day's messages are combined
into one and sent.

If there are many messages, or they are long, additional digests are sent
when a certain file size is hit.

Today there have been two such additional digests, and the regular one will
come out overnight. But there have only been about 20 messages total, and
most were very short or of modest length.

It's not that there are multiple digests - the problem is that they are
virtually unreadable because the post about the unprepared scout generated a
lengthy thread where (for the most part)

the first responses included the original post,

the second responses included one of the first responses and
the original post and
the original post again,

the third responses included one of the second responses and
one of the first responses and
the original post and
the original post...

You get the idea

And that's not even going into that digest mode is unformatted text, and
many messages repeat the entire contents with the HTML coding (like happens
to me when I respond using my ISP's web mail feature rather than from my
home computer, where I can send as plain text.)
