I went to Philmont in 02 for a trek and my blood pressure was ok with the medicine I am still taking. However this summer I went to a PTC conference and my blood pressure stayed elevated the entire week and if I had been on a trek they would not have let me go on a trek. My medicine works fine at home (elevation 800'+). I know that some medicines loose effectiveness over time and do not work as well at altitude. For you doctors on the list, or other experienced high blood pressure medicine takers, any thoughts on what are the more effective medicines that work best at altitude?
Thanks
Brent
