We always require our crew members to wear their hiking boots to the airport, to prevent them from being forgotten at home. Every other piece of gear you need can be rented or purchased at basecamp if you forget it. But no way can you purchase broken in hiking boots. And there is no overnight delivery to Philmont. So if you forget your boots, go ahead and purchase all the blister items at basecamp because you will need them. :-)
Happy Trails..............

Subject: [Philmont]: Final Prepration ?
We meet tomorrow night of the final pack check and shake down.
I keep trying to think of last minute things we should do before we leave on Saturday.
The two that come to mind are: trim your toe nails and get a hair cut!
What am I forgetting?
What kinda of things you tell your crew to do the last few days in town?
Thanks
Jimmie White
