In addition, verify with every crew member how and when they're getting to
where they're going.
At the airport, have everyone check their pockets for items that should be
packed and not carried on or through security.
Final reminder on uniforms for travel.
Good luck. Have a great trek.

Subject: Re: [Philmont]: Final Prepration ?
1) Avoid high-risk activities like skateboarding - don't make a $1500
mistake.
2) If you're a soda (or coffee) nut, start cutting back now.
3) If you have new or newish boots, wear them and nothing else for the
next week.
4) If you been lax on training, backpack an hour a day, no more, no less.
5) Identify one more item to leave behind - and then leave it.
6) Check those med forms - 3 signatures required, plus photocopies of
the front and back of insurance card. When you're done, check 'em again.
7) Check those CPR and 1st Aid Cards - don't accept anyone's word that
they have them - make sure.
8) If you're leaving at the crack of doom, pack up the night before you
leave - things get forgotten at 3:45 am.
9) If you're travelling be air, reverse the hipbelts, tighthen the
shoulder straps and all other straps down, and have nothing breakable in
the outside pockets.
10) Put your name on EVERYTHING.
