"A Walk in the Woods" is a great choice and is hysterically funny in places.
For something a little deeper get a book of Jack London short stories.

Have you read "A Walk in the Woods" by Bill Bryson. It's a good one about a
man's attempt at the Appalachian Trail. Humorous as well.

I usually find time to read one book while on the trail at Philmont. In

2003 I read The Man Who Walked Through Time by Colin Fletcher. I'm looking

for a good book that involves the outdoors for this year. Any suggestions?
