Question...

I'm curious. Pueblano through Miranda to Ewells Park I understand (and
would be necessary to return burros), but why back through Miranda on your
way to Head of Dean and Santa Claus?

Adds some miles and elevation change to a reasonably long day (not to
mention the time to presumably do the program a second time), and since the
vicinity of Head of Dean often is the location of Conservation projects,
there's a good chance you will need to work that in as well (it looks like
the other likely opportunity would be near Cyphers Mine, but with morning
horse rides at Clark's Fork, doing it then would also be a challenge...)
