Just back today, my first trek, don't know about ranger technique changes.

Water is available and plentiful, still water at Shaeffers Pass. LOTS AND LOTS OF MOSQUITOS, even at 32 degrees and even at 11, 500 feet. Backcountry fires are allowed for the first time in many years. If you need more info, especiall on Trek 4, let me know.

It's just about time for the reports on trail conditions to start
rolling in.

Any word from those just back on water, mosquitos, good backcountry
campfires, ranger technique changes, etc.?
