We just returned and did a variety of cooking ( rehydrate in ziplock bowls, turkey bags and phil method). We used 3 bottles of Powermax fuel.
Plenty available at Baldy town but did not need. We carried 4 and left the last bottle in the advisors lounge.

We just got back, were not very conservative, had coffee almost every morning, and a couple of afternoons, used 8 and a half canisters. (Took 12). Powermax was available at Phillips Junction, 4.25 per bottle, no tax. We also got food at Ute Gulch, don't remember seeing any bottles there.

How many of the large Coleman Powermax fuel canisters are needed for a trek?
