[philmont] Miner's Park to Black Mountain Camp

I don't think gaiters would be helpful. Most of the crossings are
across logs or rocks - you won't get wet. This is one of my favorite
trails. It is very picturesque and very green, even during drought
times. There are several beaver ponds along the way and wonderful
stands of aspen trees. The creek is full of trout and because the
trail is in a gorge, you will likely see many signs of bears,
scratching the tree bark or turning over logs, leaving scat on the
trail, because the bears are using the same trail you are using.
