My son in law is from NC. When his family came down for the wedding, the first thing his mom told me was "I knew we were in Texas when the first State Trooper I saw was driving a pickup truck and they flew all the state flage upside down."
I gues it's all according to your perspective.
I have two flag stickers on my kayaks. First the US flag. I fought for the USA and I lover her. The second is the flag of the state where I got that kayak. My Dagger RPM has a NC state flag on it. You would not believe hoow many people here in Texas ask me why the Terxas flag is upside down? They notice the reversed rea dn white but not what replaces the lone star. Then I have to explain things to them.
The Republic of Texas. Yes, a large map of that nation hangs above my bed. IT includes all of Philmont. So, before Wait Phillips, Philmont was a gift to the US from the people of Texas.
Enough said.
