[philmont] Nobody wants a free trip to Philmont?

All,

Unfortunately, one of our advisors just found a previously undiagnosed
medical condition that will prevent him from going to Philmont. As a result
of this situation, neither of his two sons will be joining us either. This
leaves us with 3 already paid for Philmont slots. Please, won't someone
join us? Our scouts are devastated (and so am I!)

This leaves us in a very precarious position; if we don't find another scout
to go, we don't go! Our current crew is comprised of 3 dads and 3 sons. I
participated in a Philmont trek in 2003. We need at least one scout age 14
- 20 to join our crew. Ideally, we would find a scout and his father,
brother or other friend to join us.

We are leaving Santa Barbara on June 18th, flying to Albuquerque and then
driving on to Santa Fe before arriving at Philmont on the morning of June
20th. We are returning to Santa Barbara on July 2nd.

We are designated crew 620 K and are taking the program packed trek 16,
through the southern part of Philmont. Programs include Black Powder Rifle
Shooting, Rock Climbing, Horseback Riding, Blacksmithing, Spar Pole Climbing
and climbs over Mt. Phillips and the Tooth of Time.

Please don't hesitate to call or email me.

Thanks,

Bob Balch
