I second the viewfinder. Backlit liquid crystal displays (LCDs), such as on
laptops and digital cameras, are notorious for being unviewable in sunlight.
In addition, an LCD works by twisting and polarizing light. If you wear
polarized sunglasses in sunlight, they may make it all but impossible to
view the camera's LCD, due to cross polarization.
Turn the display, image stabilization and flash off. Most such features are
designed for indoor shots. Enjoy the great outdoors!
