Sam,

I would recommend lots of Seam Seal and have him pitch it in his yard
and hit it with the spray from a garden hose.

Please make sure he has a Plan B. If it leaks like a sieve, you have
gotten what you paid for.

A bargain is only a bargain if you get the performance that you expect.

Let me know how the experiment turns out.
