I have two minor gear questions as I finish up getting ready for our
trek.
1. All Cavalcade gear must fit into a single stuff sack. So backpacks
are not brought along. What do crew members use for day hikes and side
hikes to program areas? We must bring water, rain gear and a first aid
kit wherever you go. So what solutions have folks used? Small fanny
packs? Or perhaps a few small day packs as crew gear (will the
wranglers allow that?). We may also take a day hike up and over Baldy.
So we would also need to accommodate for food too.
2. I plan on bringing my digital camera and was wondering what type of
carry cases have been used/allowed on horseback? I know nothing hanging
by straps around the neck because of tangling on brush. I know we get
saddlebags, but I'd like to be able to reach the camera while on
horseback to take picks.
Thanks
